Airplane-size asteroid flies closer than moon - See orbit & pic

Astoid 2021 EQ3 closest approach to Earth on March 16, 2021 is 173,000 miles (278,417 km) away, closer than the moon! Gianluca Masi of the Virtual Telescope Project captured imagery of the space rock on March 13.
