By the 1960s the U.S. air force had also confirmed the presence of 'something' orbiting the planet. They immediately concluded it was debris from the Discover Rocket, however by the 1980s the story had changed again after NASA claimed it was debris from the space station. More recent research points to this mysterious satellite to be something possibly extraterrestrial and monitoring Earth from a rather unusual polar orbit.
