Betelgeuse star dimming may have been caused by giant outburst
Description
In late 2019 and early 2020, Orion constellation star Betelgeuse was dimming in observations from Earth. The it was likely caused by "an immense amount of hot material ejected into space," blocking the light, according to a NASA Hubble Space Telescope study. -- Betelgeuse: The Eventual Supernova: https://www.space.com/22009-betelgeuse.html
