Big filament eruption on sun triggers long duration flare - See it in 4K

NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory captured a magnetic filament erupting on the Sun on Feb. 24, 2023. The filament was " connected to sunspot AR3229." triggered a long duration M3-class flare and resulting coronal mass ejection had 'Earth-directed components," according to Spaceweather.com.
