A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched 23 Starlink satellites, including 13 with direct-to-cell capabilities, from Florida's Cape Canaveral Space Force Station on Dec. 8, 2024 at 12:12 a.m. EST (0512 GMT). According to Space.com, the rocket's first stage came down for a landing on the SpaceX droneship "A Shortfall of Gravitas" in the Atlantic Ocean about eight minutes after launch as planned.
