Comet's Jupiter impact used to clock 900 MPH stratospheric winds
Description
By analyzing the aftermath of Comet Shoemaker–Levy 9's impact, researchers have "been able to reveal incredibly powerful stratospheric winds" at Jupiter's south polar region, according to the European Southern Observatory.
