The Space Shuttle Columbia's STS-61-C mission launched on Jan. 12, 1986 with Robert L. Gibson, Charles F. Bolden, George D. Nelson, Steven A. Hawley, Franklin R. Chang-Diaz, Robert J. Cenker, Clarence and sitting congressman at the time Clarence W. "Bill" Nelson.
