Description
An inauguration ceremony is not just the investiture of a president; it is the participation by an institution in the traditions of academe. Delegates from the worldwide academic community will join MIT faculty, students, staff, alumni, and trustees in the procession. Attendees will enjoy musical performances by MIT artists as the Institute welcomes and inaugurates its 18th president.
The ceremony tent may be accessed beginning at 2:30 pm from Building 3, Building 4, or Memorial Drive.
Reception
Immediately following the ceremony, there will be a reception in Killian Court for members of the MIT community and guests.
