Description

Plain white table salt (sodium chloride) turned yellow when simulated Europa conditions at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. "Scientist can now deduce that the yellow color previously observed on portions of the surface of Europa is actually sodium chloride," according to NASA.
