Tropical Storms Laura and Marco: Track the Storms
For the first time since the Great Depression, it's possible that two tropical systems could make landfall in the mainland United States at virtually the same time. There will be a lot to keep track of, so bookmark this landing page as your go-to for important information and maps on both tropical systems.
Tropical Storm Laura
Tropical Storm Laura will carve through Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Hispaniola and Cuba, bringing locally flooding rain and wind, then is an increasing, but still uncertain, hurricane danger for the U.S. Gulf Coast next week anywhere from the Florida Panhandle to the Texas coast.
Tropical Storm Marco
Tropical Storm Marco has formed in the Caribbean Sea and is expected to first impact parts of Mexico as a tropical storm before emerging into the western Gulf of Mexico. This system faces an uncertain future in the western Gulf of Mexico, but it will likely affect parts of the U.S. Gulf Coast next week as a strong tropical storm or hurricane.
