See NASA's inflatable heat shield demo get deployed in space for re-entry test

NASA's Low-Earth Orbit Flight Test of an Inflatable Decelerator (LOFTID) was deployed shortly after launching on an Atlas V rocket on Nov. 10, 2022. It re-entered and landed in the Pacific Ocean using parachutes several minutes later.
