Description
The Meteosat Third Generation – Imager 1 (MTG-I1) has four lightning imaging cameras. Full Story: https://www.space.com/video-lighting-europe-weather-satellite-meteosat
The west camera covers the Atlantic Ocean, a small part of Africa and part of South America. The northern camera faces Europe. The east camera captured lightning in Africa and the south camera covers southern Atlantic Ocean, with the southernmost part of Africa visible in the bottom right, according to Europe’s meteorological satellite agency, EUMETSAT, and the European Space Agency (ESA).
