Star Spewing a Jet in Large Magellanic Cloud - Seen in Visible Light
Description
A star-forming region of the Large Magellanic Cloud, a satellite galaxy of the Milky Way, has been observed using the European Southern Observatory Very Large Telescope's MUSE instrument. For the first time ever in visible light, a star was spotted emitting a jet, named Herbig–Haro 1177.
