Stunning Einstein Ring! Gravitationally-Lensed Galaxy Snapped
Description
When a cluster of galaxies lies along our line of sight, the light from a faraway galaxy behind can be magnified. Astronomers working with the ALMA telescope in Chile, have taken high resolution images of the ring-light from a galaxy almost 12 billion light-years away called SDP.81 aka HATLAS J090311.6+003906. --This Cosmic Ring Photo Is the One to Rule Them All: https://www.space.com/29042-cosmic-ring-photo-rules-them-all.html
