They Just Found Undeveloped Photos Taken By A Soldier In World War II. Wait Until You See Them.
Description
From the sailor kissing the nurse in Times Square to the soldiers lifting the flag on Iwo Jima, photos of the Second World War remain as captivating as ever – even after 70 years. It’s almost impossible to imagine anything topping some of the most iconic images from the war.
However, The Rescued Film Project recently unearthed a series of photos that give some of those famous shots a serious run for their money. These photos were taken by an unknown soldier during his time in WWII, but have never been seen by anyone… until now.
Levi Bettweiser, a collector of old film and the creator of the RFP, wasn’t sure if the images on these film rolls could be recovered. Thankfully, they succeeded.
