Triple star system warps its planet-forming disk
Description
Observations of a triple star system, named GW Orionis, using the European Southern Observatory’s Very Large Telescope (VLT) and the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) has revealed that the stars are warping their planet-forming disk. This could lead to the birth of exotic planets in the system according to the study. -- Scientists spot a triple-star system shredding its planet-forming disk in a cosmic first: https://www.space.com/gw-orionis-triple-star-system-tears-apart-disk.html
