In a press conference with the prime minister of Australia Scott Morrison on Sept. 20, 2019, President Donald J. Trump talked about getting back to the moon and using it as a launching pad for Mars. In regards to private spaceflight companies, Trump said "we are leasing them our facilities, so they can send up whatever they want to send up. It's OK with us."
