UNFINISHED Abandoned retirement tower block BANKRUPT?

Mayflower Court is our brand new development of 80 one and two bedroom retirement apartments in the Millbay area of Plymouth, planned for completion in 2020. 10 two bedroom apartment units will be put up for sale with the remaining 70 being offered as affordable rentals.


The company behind a multi-million pound block of Plymouth waterfront retirement flats says it is committed to finishing the project which is now almost a year behind schedule.

The charitable Abbeyfield Society celebrated the “topping out” of Mayflower Court, an 80-apartment development opposite the Millbay quayside, in November 2019. At that time it envisaged completing the eight-storey block by the spring or summer of 2020.


Its summer 2020 and the project isnt going anywhere anytime soon and the word seems to be that the company has no money to complete the project and may even be bankrupt... im just going by what I have been told but it seems very odd that such a big project would just down tools for 1 year and walk away.
