Watch the Constellations 'Dance' In ESA Gaia 3D Motion Animation
Description
Measurements from the European Space Agency's (ESA) Gaia mission were used to create this animation of the motion of constellation stars. The "apparent shift caused by Earth’s yearly motion around the Sun," called parallax, were taken into account while creating the visualization, according to ESA. -- Learn about the Gaia mission's latest data release: https://www.space.com/40406-gaia-release-color-milky-way-map.html
