Description

This video showcases two new views of the Cartwheel Galaxy from the NASA/ESA/CSA James Webb Space Telescope. The first image of the Cartwheel and its companion galaxies is a composite from Webb’s Near-Infrared Camera (NIRCam) and Mid-Infrared Instrument (MIRI), which reveals details that are difficult to see in the individual images alone. The second image highlights the mid-infrared light captured by MIRI to reveal fine details about these dusty regions and young stars within the Cartwheel Galaxy.
