X1.1 solar flare! New sunspot makes presence known with major fireworks
Description
NASA Solar Dynamics Observatory captured newly arrived sunspot AR3341 blast a powerful X1.1 solar flare on June 20, 2023.
The flare "caused a deep shortwave radio blackout over North America." according to Spaceweather.com.
